A WOMAN in her late forties, who has the body of a 20 year old has shared the simple exercise routine she does to maintain her stunning figure.
Alice Hatcher, describes herself as a “47 year old time fighter” and often shares videos of herself showing off her incredibly toned abs to her social media channels.


The aesthetician has birthed three children, but has still managed to maintain a figure that most of us could only dream of.
In a recent video, Alice, who lives in Orange County, California, with her husband and kids, shared the secret to her flat stomach.
In the video, Alice can be seen dancing frantically around her swimming pool to Don’t You Want Me by The Human League.
She explained that this type of dance is called “Shuffling”.
The Shuffle is an energetic dance style performed to various forms of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) such as House, Techno and Drum and Bass.
It was created in the 1980s and consists of a few basic steps. such as the Running Man and the T-Step, complimented by whatever variation the dancer wants to include.
Alice said that she started Shuffling when she was 42 for her mental health, and is now “addicted”.
She said that the endorphins that are released when she does the exercise, make her feel “amazing”.
“It’s the best fun workout”, she said.
Alice shares Shuffle tutorials on her TikTok channel, to help people who want to learn how to do it themselves.
“Age is just a number”, she said.
Shuffling doesn’t require the use of any equipment and is completely free to learn, so is a great activity for anyone to pick up.
Alice’s video, which was posted under then username @aliceinshuffleland, has likely left many people open-mouthed as it has racked up over 1 million views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on Alice’s exercise hack.
One person said: “She looks better than most 22 year olds”.
Tips to age well
There are a number of habits you can take up to care for your health and wellbeing as you age.
Age UK shared the following tips:
- Do things that you enjoy everyday – whether that’s cooking, seeing friends or enjoying a good book
- Stay hydrated – drink six to eight cups of water a day
- Eat plenty of fruit and veggies to lower your risk of heart disease and certain cancers, have beans, pulses, fish, eggs and meat to repair your body after injury, starchy carbs for energy dairy to help keep bones strong
- Manage long-term health conditions to prevent them progressing or having a greater impact on your health
- Quit smoking and reduce alcohol intake to no more than 14 units a week
- Make mental health a priority and get treatment for it, as it can also impact physical health
- Make sure you’re getting quality sleep
- Keep socialising – and call a friend or loved one if you can’t make it out the house
- Be physically active to lower the risk of depression and dementia, heart disease, stroke, Parkinson’s and some cancers
