Ever since another cast member, Taylor Frankie Paul, suggested that the group participate in “soft swinging” their #MomTok videos gained traction.

Born and raised in Utah within the Mormon religion, Whitney is part of the #MomTok trend.

She features in The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives, which first aired on Hulu on September 6, 2024.

The series follows eight #MomTok influencers from Utah, dealing with the aftermath of a swingers sex scandal that began in 2022.

Who is Whitney Leavitt?

Born on May 12, 1993, Whitney is the self-proclaimed “leader” of eight #MomTok influencers from Utah.

She has over two million followers on her TikTok page where she posts fun dance routines.

She has more than 300,000 followers on Instagram, as of September 2024, with her bio reading “she twerks and bakes”.

Whitney graduated from Brigham Young in 2018, and shortly after was named as artistic director at Creations Dance Theatre in LA.

She is married to Conner Leavitt.

He proposed in April 2016, with the pair tying the knot a few months.

Prior to their wedding on August 19, 2016, Whitney shared a snap of the pair dining in an In-N-Out Burger joint in their full wedding attire.

The couple have since welcomed two children into the world.

Daughter Sedona was born in November 2019, with son Liam entering the world in December 2021.

After his birth, Whitney went viral, receiving backlash after she was videoed dancing next to her son’s hospital bed.

He had just been diagnosed with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and had been admitted to hospital for the common illness.

She subsequently took the video down and acknowledged that it was a “mistake” for “not giving enough context of the situation”.

In April 2024, the pair revealed they are expecting their third child.

The baby is due in October 2024.

On September 6, 2024, Whitney made her TV debut on The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives.

Who is Whitney Leavitt’s husband?

Whitney has been married to Conner since 2016.

However, in 2022, Conner admitted to having a presence on Tinder, behind his wife’s back.

Shocked viewers of Secret Lives also discovered that Conner had been struggling with a secret porn addiction.

Whitney revealed that she had hidden the truth from her friends, but was opening up now so there were “no other secrets between us”.

We were raised to be these housewives for the men, serving their every desire. Well, I’m like, ‘f**k this.’ So I created MomTok.

Conner said: “I had a real problem and it turned into something that really hurt my wife and I’m so sorry. I’m working on myself.”

He added: “I’ve reached a point where I really don’t care what anybody outside my inner circle thinks.”

Whitney chose to stick by her husband, with the pair expecting their third child in October 2024.

Conner appears to no longer have an Instagram page, but features in his wife’s fun videos.

In November 2023, he ran the New York marathon with Whitney.

In September 2024, Whitney shared a photo of herself and her husband with their two kids captioned: “last family photos with just us 4, we can not wait to meet you next month bb.”

What is The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives?

Hulu’s exclusive eight-part series focuses on the lives of a group of women and friends who are all part of the Mormon religion, otherwise known as members of the Church of the Latter-day Saints.

The seven women featured alongside Whitney are Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, and Mikayla Matthews.

The women are all members of “MomTok”.

After Taylor exposed a “soft swinging” scandal in the group, viewers have been desperate to know more.

Soft swinging is when couples switch partners but do not have sex.

Whilst Whitney has admitted she was not involved in that aspect of the group’s close relations, she is still part of the self-credited original creators of #MomTok.

What is #MomTok?

In 2020, the group of Mormon women began creating and posting on TikTok.

They all have separate accounts meaning that there has been reams of content for fans to scroll through.

#MomTok took off during the pandemic and was intended to show a different side to Mormon mothers.

Taylor explained: “We were raised to be these housewives for the men, serving their every desire.

“Well, I’m like, ‘f**k this.’ So I created MomTok.

“Started as a group of Mormon moms making TikToks. There was something freeing about it.”

I want us all to come back together. Let’s start dancing again and making some videos

Taylor was embroiled in the swinging scandal in 2022.

She admitted that she had gone “all the way” with one of the group’s members but that it only happened once.

She seems to have been “shunned” from the friendship group ever since, proclaiming that the “majority” of MomTok were not involved.

In the series, all the other women deny ever “swinging” or engaging in non-monogamy.

And Whitney even challenged Taylor over the scandal.

She said: “I felt betrayed. Genuinely was like, ‘I don’t feel safe with Taylor, I never want to make a video with Taylor again.’ I still don’t really trust you.”

After taking a step back and moving to Hawaii, Whitney said: “After Taylor blew up MomTok, I think we all needed that time away from each other.

“We needed that space and now I’m ready.

“I’m back from Hawaii and I want us all to come back together. Let’s start dancing again and making some videos.”

Is Whitney still part of MomTok?

In the dramatic finale of the series, Whitney admitted that she had decided to step away from MomTok so that she could focus on her family.

She also suggested that she wanted to have more time to spend on her personal well-being.

With her due date for her third child in October 2024, it is perhaps no surprise that she has made this decision.

Since then, other members of the MomTok group have addressed her departure on Nick Viall’s podcast, where they suggested they were disappointed about her lack of consistency in the group but did not hate her.
