The skincare lover and Digital Marketer explained that she puts slices of potato on her face every single day, to ensure her skin stays looking fresh, without breaking the bank.

Posting on social media, the young woman shared her skincare secret in a clip with the caption ‘If you haven’t tried using potatoes in your skincare, this is your sign! Always make sure to patch test.’

The woman then explained that she had been looking for natural ways to get rid of her acne scarring and had heard that potatoes had good benefits for your skin.

She shared that people had told her that they ‘swear by’ using the vegetable on their skin, as she explained: “I’ve had people tell me that they’ve used potatoes to get rid of their warts, to get rid of burns – people have used potatoes to get rid of dark spots under the eyes or even just on the skin.

“It helps with hyperpigmentation and inflammation, which is also amazing. Potatoes just have a lot of great benefits for your skin.”

In the short video, we saw the potato lover peel a potato, as she used the peelings to cover her face.

She then revealed that she has been applying potatoes to her face for the past seven weeks, and has seen “really great results.”

She advised: “If you don’t wanna do a mask with a potato, you could chop it up and freeze it and use it as ice cubes on your face.

“In the beginning when I started this, I’d literally just peel the potato and rub it on my face.”

The woman later explained that she leaves the potato peelings on her face for around 20 minutes.

Following this, she then washes her face and uses a moisturiser.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @potatogirl2.0, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a jaw-dropping 2.6 million views.
