LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne impressed in a selfie with her boyfriend, and Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes who will make his highly-anticipated MLB debut this weekend.
Social media star Dunne and the 2023 No. 1 overall pick Skenes made the trip to Pittsburgh for the hard-throwing righty’s debut against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday.
Skenes, 21, received the call-up to the MLB on Wednesday after skyrocketing in the minor leagues.
The very next day, Dunne posted a snap of herself with Skenes.
The pair were in a car and traveling to Pittsburgh.
Dunne and Skenes smiled in the pic as the social media influencer wrote in the Instagram story caption, “helloooo Pittsburgh.”
The MLB social media account on X, formerly Twitter, reposted Dunne’s photo.
Dunne also posted a snap of Skenes driving near PNC Park – the Pirates’ home stadium.
Plenty of hype has surrounded Skenes and his eventual debut in the MLB.
Skenes pitched 27 1/3 innings in Triple-A and posted a stellar 0.99 ERA along with 45 strikeouts.
He touched 102 mph on the radar gun during Spring Training and hit 101 mph in his most recent start.
Skenes and Dunne enjoyed plenty of success during their tenures with LSU.
Last year, Skenes won the 2023 College Baseball World Series.
Dunne, meanwhile, contributed to the Lady Tigers’ first national title win in April.
The former LSU stars were romantically linked with each other before Skenes announced their relationship last August.
In March, Dunne spoke to ESPN about why their relationship has been successful.
“He’s pretty level-headed all the time — that’s what I love about him — and I think we’re a really good pair because of that,” she said.
“Because I have such a crazy lifestyle and things get thrown my way all the time.
“Sometimes, my emotions can sway and he’s very level, and I just think it’s a very good match.”
DUNNE AND SKENES' SUMMER OF LOVE
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.
The pair met at LSU, but it’s not clear when they started dating.
Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska last summer.
And Dunne then posted selfies from Fort Myers in Florida, where Skenes was playing.
He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his pro career by playing in minor leagues in the Sunshine State.
The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.
Skenes and the Pirates will face the Cubs on Saturday at 4:05 pm ET.
