One woman jokes that she is ‘one of the biggest catfishes on the internet’ and remarks she looks ‘Photoshopped’ in real life.
If you’ve scrolled through Tikok, you’ve probably seen one of Chloe Waters’ viral videos.
The Canadian native proudly calls herself a ‘catfish’, with her ‘before’ and ‘after’ videos being seen by millions on the app.

In fact, one of her recent video gained over 6.6 million views as the content creator showed yet another stunning transformation.
However, it isn’t foundation or clever concealer that the influencer is using though.
Instead, she prefers to use tape to get that sculpted look (yes, you read that right).
“I like to use face tapes and makeup to alter my appearance, to look a little bit more youthful,” she told press, joking: “It’s almost like Photoshop in real life.”
Rather than gatekeeping the beauty secret, she regularly uploads videos of herself applying the tape to the sides of her cheeks.
Each piece of tape is joined by a piece of string, which goes behind her head, and gently pulls the strings taught.
Most days she will apply three pieces of tape, which helps smooth out her wrinkles and gives a more lifted appearance to her cheeks.
The Canadian will also often add a smaller piece of tape to the jaw area – which lifts that area too.
To give herself the perfect pout in pictures, Chloe will press her tongue against her bottom lip to push it out.
To finish her ‘catfish’ transformation, Chloe applies makeup, showing that the face tape is indistinguishable against her skin, and the strings hidden by her hair.
While it’s hard to deny how impressive the results are, some of her one million followers aren’t always so convinced.
She explained: “I love face tape. A lot of people are sceptical of it but it works.
“Why wouldn’t it work? It’s literally pulling your face back.”
However, some of the people who have viewed her video have been concerned about the long term effects of using face tape.
One argued: “The tape will just stretch the skin out more over time, just like how wrinkles are formed.”
“Maybe when I have more wrinkles to hide. I feel that this would unnecessarily stretch out your skin and age you faster,” added another.
Despite being a natural beauty, the influencer has also been targeted by cruel trolls who relentlessly comment about her appearance.
“First date is at the pool,” commented a third.
Thankfully, others have been kinder about Chloe’s transformation and her natural good looks.
One fan said: “You’re young and beautiful you don’t need face tape.”
“Like it’s a difference but not catfish difference. You still look the same just lifted. You’re beautiful!” another user agreed.
Some were wanting to try the tapes themselves, with a third joking: “I need face tapes in my life.”
