I had 5,000 men fill out an application to be my boyfriend – someone asked to swap blood samples but I’m still single

A MODEL has joined the legions of women taking to TikTok to share their dating woes.

Last year, Vera Dijkmans took to the social media site to announce that she was taking applications from men to be her boyfriend.

Potential suitors rushed to submit their application but it’s now almost a year on and the influencer is no closer to finding her Mr. Right.

She’s received 5,000 applications to date — but Dijkmans, who has 5.5 million Instagram followers, says only three of them fit her criteria.

“I’d say I received around 5,000 applications, but after going through most of them, I found just three guys who I thought were suitable,” said Dijkmans, who lives in London.

“I went on a date with them — but I’m currently still single.

“Despite this disappointing result, I still consider the experiment a success since I was able to be upfront of what I want and see which men fit that criteria.

“I had to filter through quite a lot of strange applications.

“One man offered to send me a sample of his blood and asked for mine in return — which I ignored.

“I also had a famous person slide into my DMs — I can’t say who it is, but I definitely didn’t expect it!

“Most of the applicants were from Texas and a lot of them had the Aquarius star sign.”

In the original video, Dijkmans revealed what she’d included on her questionnaire, including asking if her prospective partner lives with his parents, has current “booty calls,” or owns a car.

The model has never been in a long-term relationship.

One man said he lives with his parents and doesn’t have a car, but owns two boats.

Another suitor promised never to hit on Dijkmans’ friends — which you would think would be a given.

A fellow competitor boasted a full-time career but refused to give her the bigger closet.

While Dijkmans enjoyed the challenge, she has decided to go offline in her search for love from now on.

“I wouldn’t do another application process online,” she said.

“If I do it again, I will probably make it a real life event.”

Previously, Dijkmans has spoken about what traits her ideal man will possess, including being funny, having good taste in music, his own income, and watching cartoons.

Her story follows several viral videos on TikTok of women sharing their frustrations with dating.

As for Dijkmans, she simply refuses to compromise.

“At the moment, I’ve put the boyfriend search on hold, but I’m keeping my options open,” she said.

“I’m just very picky and I need a guy to be almost perfect.

“I don’t think I should have to compromise on my needs. I’d rather be single until I find the man I’m meant to be with.”

The US Sun previously reported how when Dijkmans was making money as a model on OnlyFans, a former teacher of hers paid over $1,000 for a “sexy” photo.

What’s even more shocking is that the same teacher had once told her that she would “go nowhere in life.”
