ARIELLE Charnas made headlines after she faced backlash for getting a COVID-19 test when kits were limited and needed for those more at risk.
The influencer and blogger used her social media platform to launch her clothing brand which was later marred by financial issues.

Who is Arielle Charnas?
Arielle Noa Charnas was born on June 13, 1987, and raised in New York where she graduated from Syracuse University in 2009.
After graduating, she began posting photos of her outfits on her blog.
Her blog allowed her to showcase her style, however, Arielle later admitted that initially, the posts were to impress an ex-boyfriend.
Before gaining popularity, she worked in fashion retail and signed a four-year endorsement deal with TRESemmé.
She later appeared in TV ads for them which aired in 2016.
Her partnership with the well-known hair brand gave her more notoriety and by 2017 she had amassed over one million followers on Instagram.
What does Arielle Charnas do for a living?
In 2017, Arielle launched her first collection of clothing with Nordstrom.
Her first fashion line called, “Something Navy X Treasure & Bond” sold clothes across the US and Canada.
Arielle’s collection featured 30 ready-to-wear outfits, including shoes and accessories.
It was a huge success with sales exceeding over a million in the first 24 hours.
The following year, Arielle signed a long-term contract with Nordstrom who licensed, Something Navy, and helped her establish it as a stand-alone brand.
The influencer released her second collection of apparel which temporarily shut down the Nordstrom website because traffic was so high.
Sales for that day reached a whopping $4 to $5million.
Arielle’s social media influence became evident after she generated more than $207,000 for an activewear retailer from a single Instagram store post promoting the brand.

By 2019, the value of the Something Navy brand reached a staggering $45million.
Unfortunately for Arielle, Nordstrom later terminated their partnership with the blogger in 2020 after she faced backlash for using a COVID-19 test when they were hard to come by.
Despite the split, the blogger continued to launch her brand and opened stores in Dallas, New York and Los Angeles.
The first six months saw Arielle earn $12million in sales, according to the CEO.
However, things quickly turned and rumours began spreading about the company’s apparent troubles.
In 2022, the Business Insider published an article which claimed that Something Navy owed hundreds of thousands of dollars to vendors, suppliers and freelancers.
It was also revealed that they had lost almost half of their employees in a year.
Arielle announced to fans that she had plans to open at least ten more locations in a post on social media – but that never happened.
One year after the article was published, all her stores pulled down their shutters for good and Arielle stopped posting.
Something Navy was later being sold in a “fire sale,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
The consideration of the purchase was listed at $1.
What happened to Arielle’s cousin, Candice Miller?
Candice Miller was in the news recently after her husband, Brandon Miller, died aged 43.
Brandon was a New York City real estate mogul who amassed a fortune.
His death remains unconfirmed by his family.
There had been reports that he’d been in intensive care days before his death.
Brandon was buried at the New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon.
The pair own a $9million home in Tribeca and a $3million property in Southampton.
Candice is the co-founder and chief marketing officer of a vintage-inspired clothing line.
The socialite is well-connected and was pictured with Ivanka Trump at a beach in Miami.
